As an artist it's important to remember that if your younger self could see you now, they'd be amazed at how much you've improved. Also in my case, how far I've gone to pursue my dreams (8174 miles to be exact). I wouldn't trade this Calarts' experience for anything else, but it's still lovely to take a break back in ol' Adelaide. Here's some life drawings from the final week.

That was only LA to Sydney, not even the whole journey, I love my family, and making grungy spontaneous comics. Made on a airplane during turbulence.

Did a quick pipeline test. Gif funked up the colors. This year I'm focusing on better animation, instead of being obsessed over cleanup. Rougher drawings + color will be tricky. Challenge accepted.

tranquility and terror

Final layout assignment! Two scenes with drastically different moods. First inspired by Moorish architecture seen on our trip to Spain, second one by listening to the amazingly eerie podcast, Welcome to Night Vale. It's been a bumpy ride with this class, but iIm proud of my improvement.

The colors will be more harmonious when they actually get tossed in the nighttime scene.

Quack Free!

I did a silly parody of Free!-Iwatobi Swim Club for 48 Hour Films this year. (did mine in WAY less time, cause I was trying to get over tha' norovirus') Probably won't appeal to anyone that isn't in Character Animation  or an anime enthusiast, haha.
